Holm Tree Lighting Saturday 1st December 18.30

The oldest and youngest pupils at St Andrews Primary living in Holm will switch on the Christmas tree lights this year. We are delighted that the two youngest are from P1 Ladybirds.
Good luck girls.

There is also a Carol Service in the Holm Hall on Sunday night at 19.00.

What's happening at St Andrews this week...

We have a very busy week here at St Andrews this week, which we are all very excited about.

• The P1,2&3s are busy rehearsing for the Christmas Show "The Hoity Toity Angel".

(A reminder for all girls to bring to school black leggings/trousers labelled and in a carrier bag.)

• On Wednesday we are having our very first Open Day! From 2.00 - 3.00pm and 6.00 - 8.00pm parents are invited to come and see their children learn, and see around the School. Looking forward to seeing you there.

• On Friday there is St Andrews CD launch  from 6.30 - 7.30pm. The CD is £10 and is available to buy from the School on Friday night and onwards. A great Christmas present maybe??!

• And finally... The Holm Tree lighting is on Saturday night. The youngest and oldest pupils of Holm switch the lights on. We are delighted that the youngest is two of our P1 ladybirds - they are very excited about this.

Exciting News!!!

Your child will have came home tonight with a Bookbug Primary 1 Family Pack. We are all very excited by this fantastic gift which I am more than sure you will enjoy with your children.

The books in this pack are the final three finalists of the Scottish Children’s Book Awards 2012. The largest and most prestigious children’s book awards in Scotland and the only national children’s book awards. What is even more exciting is that once you have read all of the books your child will have a chance to vote for their favourite.

Children in Need event at St Andrews

We had a very successful Children in Need week at St Andrews. Puddsy came to visit the whole school during assembly on Wednesday and again on Friday. The theme was "wear your pyjamas to school" and there was face paints, homebake sale, P3 games room and a chance to buy a photo of P1 ladybirds with Pudsy the Bear.
                          The grand total that St Andrews Primary raised was £728.21
